ofsted report

Little foxes was established and registered in 1999 by Mr & Mrs Brown (owners), housed in an end terrace that has been adapted to suit the children’s needs.  At the side of the nursery there is a large garden area, one side of the garden and there is also a pram storage unit for parents/carers to store prams and car seats to prevent any weather damage. On the soft play area, there is a boat and a car to one side of the garden and a large sand pit which is available all through the year as there is a roof over the top. There is also an all-weather grass area for the children to use all year round, located around the garden are small benches for the children to sit with their friends and we also have a picnic bench giving the children the opportunity to have lunch and snack in the outdoor area.  There is also a water feature installed which has a water butt next it to ensure the children have constant water to use throughout the activity.  Within the house on the lower level the baby room is located, which has patio doors leading onto a decking area.  The decking area has a fence enclosure and a sheltered sandpit at one end, which enables the under 2’s to also have free flow play from indoors to the outdoors without being harmed by the older children.  The babies decking has had a canopy installed to ensure that the babies have shade in the summer and shelter in the winter ensuring that babies are able to free flow throughout the year. On first level, there are two rooms accommodating all the different areas of learning across the two rooms.

Nursery open hours 8am-6pm (we also provide early start sessions 7.30am)

Nursery is open all year round.

All staff are fully trained in safeguarding, and paediatric first aid certified.

Little Foxes ethos is “to give unlimited and natural play experiences”.  The children spend 80% of their day out in the garden area as we feel that children learn a lot more, play more freely and experience a healthy lifestyle when being in the outdoor area.

Foxhouse Nursery is an exceptional nursery. The staff are very approachable, caring and always understanding no matter how small the issue. The nursery has a family feel and our son soon developed positive relationships with all of the staff especially his key person. The nursery is very well resourced and has a good balance of educational and play activities. As a family we love the outdoors and are pleased that the nursery setting encourages outdoor play as much as possible. We find Foxhouse nursery to always be clean and the meals and snacks provided are healthy and nutritious. There are lots of stay and play opportunities which are an excellent way of involving us in our son’s learning and nursery experiences. We are very satisfied with all aspects of the nursery and would highly recommend this nursery to others.
This is a small, friendly and happy nursery with a lovely warm vibe. The staff are fab and can't do enough for the children, or their carers. They work closely with the children offering play based fun within the EYFS curriculum which give children a chance to explore, and meet their targets before school. They also offer a breakfast and after school club (with pick up to a local school) for older children.
Both my children love it here. They’ve been going since they were babies. All the staff are lovely and my children enjoy coming here.
Excellent nursery. Highly recommend. All three of my children have attended here and they have been extremely supportive of all three of them and myself. My children love going and have learnt and developed so much. Their flexibility has been invaluable to me as a shift worker also. With each of my children having their own health issues they have been fully supportive and helpful, nothing has been to much trouble in order to ensure they are all ok and don't miss out. The staff are always happy and go out of their way to ensure the children have a fun and exciting time. There settling in process was fantastic for both my children and myself.
We see Foxhouse nursery as a positive and happy nursery. Zen has never been worried to go to nursery so we are very happy with this approach
Fabulous nursery with the nicest staff! I visited 5 nurseries before I visited little foxes! And this is by far the best in south Liverpool! The girls look after them kids amazing.
My little girl has been at little foxes for nearly a year now and she loves it. She has come on leaps and bounds and they help her with everything from speech to walking. I will be so sad when the day comes and she moves out of the baby/tiddler room as the staff are so lovely and know all of them on first name terms always happy and smiley. The nursery is so flexible for me and try to accommodate everything I ask of them. Thank you to all the girls at little foxes!
Both myself and Mark are very pleased with how our princess is cared for. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Naomi smiles at all the staff and makes us feel better when we drop her off. She has come on leaps and we feel it's spending time with others.
We can’t fault Little Foxes in the slightest or any member of staff. Layla loves her time at Nursery, and you have made her transition between each room a dream. She never feels anxious and always can’t wait to get there to see her friends. As parents, we think the updates we receive via the app are brill, and it’s nice to see what she’s up to throughout the day while we’re at work. Layla and ourselves are eager for her to start some extra days in the next few weeks and we can’t thank you enough for all that you do for her, We can see how much she has developed since leaving her old Nursery in Warrington and starting with you. Her speech especially, has developed in leaps and bounds. I have done, and will continue, to recommend Little Foxes to friends and other parents.
Since starting with Little Foxes my child has developed faster than we can keep track of! He is in absolute awe of the ladies (and Alan!) at the nursery and is excited every morning to get up and 'go nurseries.' my child has been at the nursery since he was 8 months old. The staff at LF put me at ease about leaving him at seemingly such a young age. They are kind and understanding of individual circumstances and I can guarantee there to always be a friendly face to speak to when I get to the nursery.   my child is growing into such a lovely teeny tiny little man and I can genuinely say hand on heart that LF have contributed so much to this. my child is well cared for, has lots of fun and is developing exceptionally well - he also has a healthier and more varied diet than most adults!   We moved house last year and despite there being nurseries closer to us now and having to drive out of our way to drop and collect my child from nursery, there is no chance we would ever have changed his nursery even after a matter of weeks because of the way LF are professionally, educationally and on a friendly, personal manner. We will be gutted when my child has to move from LF to school
